(Shift8) was formed in 2009 to assume the operations of its telecommunications predecessor and a global network that was initially deployed in 1995 along the U.S.- Mexico corridor. The original and legacy telecommunications network was built to capitalize on the opportunities created by the deregulation of the telecommunication industries within Latin America. Over the course of the following decade, the Company expanded its network into more than 50 countries utilizing VoIP (SIP and H323) technology to establish global partnerships with foreign carriers and emerging operators in the United States, Latin America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
Utilizing our global network and global partnerships, Shift8 has grown into a leading provider of cloud-based voice, video, mobility and collaboration services that integrate directly into the business workflow. Working directly with our Channel Alliance Members, Shift8's Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms serve more than 2,000 businesses around the world.
